Unprecedented numbers of immigrants have settled in America within the last decade seeking hope and a better future. To thrive in their new communities, immigrants need encouragement, support, and meaningful connections with those around them.

When immigrants find a welcoming community, they gain more than practical assistance — they discover a sense of belonging. As they learn everyday life skills, understand cultural traditions, and build relationships, they grow more confident and empowered in their new environment.

At the heart of this journey is one essential skill: learning English.

The ability to communicate in English opens doors to friendships, education and employment. Because of this important need, community organizations, churches, schools, and volunteers have unique opportunities to make a lasting difference in the lives of immigrants and their families.

This website offers practical resources for anyone involved in English language learning — whether you are part of an ESL program, tutor individuals, or work with small groups.
